Getting started

1. Buy on this site (direct DMG) or install from the Mac App Store.
2. Direct purchases: download the DMG from your thank-you email or Get the app, install, then Activate with your license key.
3. Click the menu bar icon and open Settings.
4. Add a destination under the Destinations tab.
5. Grant location permission when prompted.
6. Your commute ETA appears in the menu bar.

Estimates & Apple Maps

Travel times and routes come from Apple Maps and are estimates. They may be inaccurate or unavailable. CommuteBar is for convenience — don't rely on it alone for time-critical plans. See our Terms of Use.

Licensing & downloads

• Lost your DMG link or license key? Use Get the app with your checkout email (we'll resend all active keys) or a specific license key.
• Each Direct license activates on up to three Macs you own or control at the same time. Email support to reset a seat after replacing hardware. Do not resell or share license keys publicly.
• A lifetime Direct license is a perpetual right to use CommuteBar builds you receive. Updates are included when we ship them. We intend to maintain the app, but updates, new features, and future macOS compatibility are not guaranteed.

Refunds

• Direct purchases: email support@commute.bar within seven days of purchase (include your checkout email or order details) for any-reason refund. After seven days, we do not offer refunds.
• Any Direct refund or payment dispute revokes the license; the app may stop working after it validates online.
• Mac App Store purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
